The PhotoTune 3 Solution

Wizard Mode

For the user with no experience, or the person that just wants quick results with a minimum amount of effort, the Wizard mode of PhotoTune 3 is the way to go. Each step is guided, with only a single adjustment slider to move. To advance to the next step, the user clicks on the image that looks best to them – no need to understand or have a mastery of levels, curves or color theory, – just slide, click, and done.

Pro Mode

The real power of PhotoTune 3 is the Pro mode. Available at any time, Pro mode gives you total control over each adjustment option for tone control, color balance, and detail. For portraits, the unique SkinTune option helps you obtain the best color possible from your images.

In the Pro mode, you can also correct your images with dynamic range enhancement controls similar to those found in RAW image processors, with fill light, recovery, clarity, and punch adjustments.

For the ultimate in timesaving, you can save your adjustments as a preset, allowing you to easily use the same group of adjustments again and again, inside of Photoshop, Lightroom 2 or Aperture 2.1 – perfect for adjusting large groups of images shot in the same lighting conditions.

Your Results, Where you Want Them

We understand that PhotoTune 3 is just part of your imaging workflow and we work hand-in-hand with Photoshop. Our goal is to keep your original image in tact so you can easily go back and remove changes if you want. Your results from PhotoTune 3 can be placed on a new layer so you can simply turn it off if you don’t want to use it. And unlike a Photoshop action, you can use the familiar undo command to undo an entire stack of PhotoTune 3 effects at once.  You can also use PhotoTune as a Smart Filter in Photoshop CS3 and CS4. This allows you to readjust your PhotoTune settings after it is applied as well as alter the underlying image and have PhotoTune automatically adjust the changed image. This creates a non-destructive workflow that is ideal for working with Raw images.
