Home > Why PhotoFrame 4.5 > Target Audience Target Audience PhotoFrame is targeted squarely at professional and amateur photographers, although it is attractive to graphic artists and illustrators as well. The desire to create edges that emulate the types of edges that they used to create in the darkroom is common place. These types of effects include filed-out negative carriers (sloppy borders) as well as contact prints from various film sizes and types. These contact prints include the edges of the film that are usually masked off when printed or scanned but give the image either an authentic or industrial look. These film types can include roll film (35mm and medium format), sheet film and Polaroid. Each film and format has distinct edges and an air of professionalism or creativity associated with each. Beyond the traditional darkroom oriented effects are a large range of other edges that simulate either natural media such as art papers or digital effects that can range from subtle to the extreme. The broad range of design elements (frames, backgrounds, textures, adornments) that PhotoFrame can create makes it appealing to wide range of creative professionals and amateurs. This collection is ever expanding and many new elements are introduced in PhotoFrame 4.5. PhotoFrame appeals to photographers that either want to add a touch of authenticity to their digital images or who want to add a creative touch. These creative touches are often used when compositing multiple images together for either flush-mount albums, scrapbooks or photo-illustrations. See also |
